Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has quite rightly urged the club to move on after Neymar’s shock exit to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The Brazilian has now completed his move to the French capital, signing a five-year deal, to huge fanfare and global attention.
The mood at Camp Nou, has obviously, been far more sombre with speculation now abounding as to who may come in to replace Neymar.
Yet Valverde, speaking after the club’s 1-1 practice match against Nastic, says is it is time to move on and look to the future.
“Everybody is free to choose their destiny. He [Neymar] has chosen his own and we wish him luck.
“We would have liked him to stay here, but we have to turn the page.
“You do not have to look behind but at what is in front, which is a lot. Some doors are closed, but others are also opened.”

Barca continue to be linked with Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Kylian Mbappe, and clearly finances are not really a problem after Neymar’s release clause was paid.
