New Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is reportedly willing to give Ansu Fati a chance to prove himself during pre-season.
Fati spent the season out on loan at Brighton, but failed to really impress, and the expectation had been that he would be offloaded in the summer.
However, Diario Sport are reporting that Flick is eager to talk to Fati and could take a check on him in pre-season before making a final decision on his future.
The new coach wants to find out if he can get the best out of Fati after a difficult few years both at Barcelona and then at Brighton.
Fati is thought to be eager to continue at Barcelona, rather than move away, and may now get a golden opportunity to try and get his career back on track in Catalunya.
Barcelona are set to head to the United States again in pre-season with games lined up against Real Madrid, Manchester City and AC Milan.
