Vitor Roque has been talking about his time at Barcelona after sealing a move away from the Catalans to La Liga side Real Betis.

The youngster is currently on international duty with Brazil’s Under-20 side and admits it’s been a tricky time at Barcelona.

“It was a bit complicated for me. I had some opportunities, but not in the way I thought they would be. I have a clear head. Now I am focused on Betis and I am always thanking God for the opportunity to wear the national team shirt again,” he said.

“I thought it would be different, both in the treatment and in the way of playing and in the management speaking with me.”

Vitor Roque also revealed he’s been working with a psychologist to help him navigate a tricky period in his career.

“I always had therapy, I always had a mental coach. He has always helped me, at 16 I also went through some obstacles,” he added.

“He always helped me. To this day he continues to do so, he has helped me a lot to overcome several obstacles.”

Betis have signed Vitor Roque on a season-long loan. The deal includes the option for another year and also a purchase option.
