Barcelona have confirmed that Ansu Fati has been passed fit in time for Thursday’s Champions League clash against Monaco.

Fati has yet to feature for Hansi Flick’s side this season but could now see his first minutes of the new campaign at the Stade Louis II.

His return will be a boost for Flick who is without several key players due to injury and saw Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez join his injured list this week.

Fati has a genuine chance to try and get his Barcelona career back on track this season under Flick. The German boss has admitted he was impressed by Fati in pre-season before he picked up a foot injury that has kept him sidelined.

Flick will have to make changes to his team for the trip to Monaco with Olmo out. Ferran Torres is expected to come into the starting XI, with Fati potentially set for minutes off the bench.
